How we work together
I support my clients by having a comprehensive health history and one to one discussion to establish reoccurring health patterns which will usually take an hour. I may advise some advanced clinical testing of either urine, stool, or bloods for analysis to look at the root cause of hormonal or health imbalance.
I will address why I believe this may be happening by analysing the recommended clinical tests I have provided, along with looking at their health history and current food and lifestyle choices.
By assessing my findings I can then provide my clients with a targeted personalised plan of action, specific to their nutrient and lifestyle needs and the journey back toward optimal health.

What we eat can really influence our health and hormone function. When it comes to hormone balance, research shows that the amount of fat, fibre, and essential nutrients we consume along with hydration can impact a woman’s health considerably. When we eat right it can make all the difference to how we look, feel, and behave. As a nutritional practitioner it is my job to support my clients by identifying what foods may be of benefit to address underlying health issues, and then to empower them to implement through positive change following the 80/20 rule; after all, there should be a little room for some naughtiness!
Exercise and physical activity is very important for our mind, body and soul. It not only increases our energy levels and weight loss but can also support our emotional and mental health. This is because we release endorphins or happy hormones, as I like to call them. I tell my clients to choose a moderate exercise routine they enjoy such as walking, jogging, cycling, yoga or Pilates to name but a few. Finding out what is right for you and fitting it into the daily routine can be a daunting prospect especially if you’ve not been active for a while. This may be especially difficult if you have an injury. I always tell my clients not to let this hold you back and where necessary will recommend osteopaths, physio therapists, and chiropractors to support you to get back to regular movement.
Detoxification doesn’t have to mean starving yourself on lemon juice and water. For some, it may be useful but generally it simply means supplying the detoxifying organs with the right tools to do their job properly. The liver, lungs, skin, bowels, urinary and lymphatic system are all detoxification routes out of the body. They will require key nutrients, antioxidants, fibre, hydration, and a good amount of sweating to support the process. During my evaluation I will assess which areas of the detoxification process may be under stress and which need most attention to support these key elimination pathways, optimally.
Sleep has a profound effect on our overall health. Like what we eat, it affects how we think, look, feel and behave. Enough sleep supports so many functional processes in the body. For example, a good night’s sleep improves our concentration, memory, immune function, detoxification processes, stress hormones and emotional wellbeing to name but a few. By supporting my clients sleeping patterns, we ultimately increase the prospect of good health outcomes.
Us women often don’t stop. There is always unfinished business, juggling so many things; from ferrying children around, taking care of an elderly relative or working long hours, managing the home and taking on everyone else’s problems; not to mention the interference of technology overload 24/7 from iPhones and technology. This can leave us feeling frazzled and exhausted at the end of each day. But there comes a time when enough is enough and we must take stock and rebalance our lives by taking care of our own needs. This isn’t selfish but is essential for everyone else to get the best out of us too. I practice and encourage my clients to perform selfcare and positive mindfulness techniques on a daily basis which allows us to be present and is essential to recharge our batteries. This could be a power nap, or simply soaking in an Epsom salt bath. Remember, you are the glue that holds it all together for you and your family, so it is important that you get enough rest.
